Downspring is in development and not open to the public yet. Automatic photo identification is not switched on yet.

How it works

Downspring runs in your phone's web browser. There is nothing to install from an app store.

  1. Photograph a room or a shelf

Take a photo with your phone's camera and, if you like, say which room it is in. If the photo shows several things, Downspring tries to list each one it can identify, with accessories grouped under their main item. It will not always find everything, so you add, fix or remove items yourself.

  2. Downspring suggests the details

For each item it suggests a name, a category, the condition, how many there are, and a low-to-high range of what it might fetch used. Each suggestion comes with a confidence level: high, medium or low.

If automatic identification is switched off or unavailable, your photos still save and the items wait in Review for you to fill in by hand.

  3. Check the Review list

Items go to Review when Downspring is unsure what they are, when confidence is low, or when they might be valuable. A quick look from you sorts them out. You can edit any detail at any time.

  4. Note what belongs together

Record the pieces that go with an item, like cables, a remote, the original box or the manual, so they stay together when it is sold or given away.

  5. Decide, one tap at a time

Choose Keep, Sell, Donate, Give to Family or Trash. Downspring records who made each decision and when. Removed something by mistake? Undo brings it back.

    • Keep
    • Sell
    • Donate
    • Give to Family
    • Trash
  6. Track progress and export

See the share of items decided overall and room by room, and how many still need a look. Download everything as a spreadsheet (CSV) whenever you need it.

About the values. They are estimates of typical used-resale prices, not appraisals. Real sale prices depend on condition, demand and where you sell.
